Reelight is a Danish manufacturer of bicycle lights. The Reelight SL250 bicycle light works with a convenient magnet that can be screwed onto the spoke. When the wheel turns, the magnet passes the bike light which has a coil of copper wire. And then the light comes on. Simple, effective and unique.
Reelights require no maintenance. There is no wear and tear because there are no moving parts. You never forget to bring your bike lights or turn on your lights. In addition, the lights are permanently mounted on your bike which also reduces the chance of theft. Due to the noiseless and frictionless dynamo, it is possible to use the bike light day and night at no extra cost. These bike lights have no dynamo resistance, no batteries and provide very powerful light. When you cycle, the Reelight non-contact bike light generates its own induction current, which powers the powerful light diodes in the bike light.
The Reelight City bike lights are powered by eddy currents generated as the rim passes by the bike light. The special technology works without additional components and is the first frictionless dynamo-powered bicycle light system.
